CARS ARRIVAL AND UNLOADING PROCEDURE

Before the event.​

Just like the Oscars Ceremony or Cannes Festival, we all know the grandeur of the arrival onto the red carpet… the Stars step out of shiny cars to show off to photographers and curious spectators, with heads held high and brilliant smiles, moving languidly to appear at their best.  Slow motion… flashing lights, click, click...

 Can you imagine it? ​

Although it was not part of the program, the captivating live show started the second the Supercars were unloaded in front of the Garage.

The Incute detailing team made sure that every car was perfectly shiny and prestine for the big day...​

SOC GARAGE IN THE SHADE

Ops, a moment of privacy.

Ok, Ok, nice, but not everything could be shared. ​
The best moments of summer are often those in the shade. A secret treasure. ​
What happened in the garage instead, was not exactly in the light of day... shhh… a little underground… it tasted a bit prohibited, but cheerful, like a child who gets into mischief,  smiling, knowing that his parents have caught him, but don’t dare to scold him because, truly, they are also amused to see him so happy…​
Ok, I must have explained it, the point had come across well.​
Supercars are a serious matter… but we can’t always take ourselves too seriously! We pretended to be adults, our inner child came out to play!​
That’s why we hid in the garage when everybody went to bed. And had a party! Just for us. ​

Casino, music, open bar…​

The conversation became more mysterious, a game of astrology, a game of cards… we sought luck in the stars ​
or on the gaming table, but without totally believing it. It wass only entertainment. ​Everything that happens here was magical. 

DAY 1 
INDIVIDUAL ARRIVALS IN ZAGREB AND CHECK-IN AT ESPLANADE ZAGREB HOTEL

Welcome! ​

A tiny “The Little Car Company” gem awaited guests like a Bell Boy in a crisp uniform.​

The SOC Lounge check in was ready to welcome drivers and co-pilots. ​

A sip of water, or better yet, Cheurlin D’Angine Champagne to wet dry lips. ​

After a brief introduction, all the drivers were led to a room with golden bracelets on their wrists.

DAY 1
MANDATORY DRIVERS BRIEFING AT THE ESPLANADE HOTEL

Silence and anticipation, the Police was speaking...  not exactly tour guides, but the escort who secured these works of art on wheels! It was an open-air exhibition, like when a Picasso, or Monet are contested in museums around the world. At least once in their life, everyone should have the opportunity to admire them and be amazed. Like us!

CAR LINE UP

All the photographers were leaning over the balcony of the Esplanade room to shoot this colorful, iridescent serpentine as it started to glide sinuousy through the streets of the city. Let’s Move!​

DAY 1
DEPARTURE IN FRONT OF THE HOTEL FOR A HILL CLIMB IN THE ICONIC AREA OF SLJEME

The warm up. SOC had decided to respect this historic automotive tradition. We reached the city hilltop to admire the view. 
Meanwhile, the convoy technique was refined, distances and speeds built a team that drove in unison,
a colorful 2.5km long serpentine in a winding coreography.

DAY 1
DÉFILÉ IN THE CITY CENTER WITH POLICE ESCORT

1000 flags waved enthusiastically upon our arrival in the square.​
A small stage was placed in front of the Cathedral doors. Immediately following the Peace Car, the first car that arrived was the Bugatti Chiron. Mate Rimac stepped out and got on stage to join Flo Akinbiyi and Niccolò Torri Rocca.​Who better than Mate could have welcomed the supercars among his people! ​
A representative of public institutions kicked off the ceremony by "baptising" the car with a sticker on the windshield. 

Dear Supercar, from this moment on, participation in SOC CROATIA 2022 became official.​

The FULL GOLDEN SUN – happiness– smiles– family– all generations – expressed their gratitude to the city and the public which made this possible.

DAY 1
SOC WELCOME DINNER​

 
How lovely to have dined all together after such an emotional day. Like any self-respecting ceremony, the banquet was awaiting. The Emerald room embraced everyone. With Flo on stage, the feast began. Chef XXX presented his specialties at the Espanade. But the surreal day continued! On stage, Car FT talked to us about NFT and let us play... We dreamt of the perfect garage. It wasn't all virtual... Axiom projected us into the galaxy!  The first real trip to space for private individuals.​
After eating and chatting about such interesting things, Niccolò went back on stage, to present the first SOC classic together with Flo. ​

The most iconic car of this convoy, The Porche 918 Spyder was immediately rewarded!​

Antinori offered a magnum ... and awaits us in Piedmont, Italy on September 30th.​
Before closing the dinner, however, SOC anticipated that we are already working on Christmas by Pagani; but above all on the first SOC Private 2023 with Mr Gautam. Finally, only SOC members will be able to go to India and rest assured that we will be in France for Le Mans 2023 ... the 100 year anniversary!​

That was enough... We went to the garage!

Each guest had received an invitation for a special after dinner gathering in the SOC Garage.

Only thanks to the cooperation and active support of Croatian officials and the extraordinary job of the Croatian Police, SOC Croatia 2022 was the longest supercar and hypercar driving experience in automotive gathering history. More than 1.000 km on the public roads escorted by police ensured the safety of the international collectors and their valuable cars.  ​

The SOC CROATIA 2022 program included two public moments to allow everyone to enjoy the emotion of seeing these special gems ​

The Announcement Ceremony was held Friday, September 2nd at 17:00 in the Zagreb Cathedral Square​
